The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to all the main attractions. the boat experience was unique and added to the charm of my Christmas stay. the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch and had a good variety of options. the beds were comfortable and provided a great night's sleep.

It was interesting to live on a boat.
1. I did expect the room as I had seen pictures but on arrival, I found it dark, musty and depressing. 2. The owner gave many rules, it was as though I am living at a school hostel and she was the principal! Eg. No taking a shower past 11pm, bring your plates to the kitchen after breakfast etc. She rattled on a list of rules upon arrival, it felt suffocating. Then she grumbled about having to wipe the tables and clean the bathroom (there was vomit and she asked if I did it). 3. The bathrooms are really small. You cant really stand.upright. Be prepared.

The location was perfect, just a short walk away from all the main attractions and the central train station. Plus, the views from the boat were absolutely stunning. The rooms were small but cozy, and surprisingly clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage before check-in. The breakfast was simple but delicious, with a good variety of choices. we had a peaceful and enjoyable weekend.
The bathrooms could have been cleaner, and there was some hair in the sheets that wasn't ours. The shower facilities were limited, with only one shower for a large number of guests.

The Vita Nova is very good at providing all the essentials – I found it very clean and the staff extremely friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of cold meats, cheese and cereals. The cabins are very compact and adequate for sleeping only. If you want more space to lounge around there is plenty of room on the main deck and there is a very spacious open upper deck. If you regard a room as just somewhere to sleep, then it’s perfect. If you need TVs, tea makers, luxury and pampering then it’s probably not for you. In my opinion the Vita Nova exceeded expectations.

Great location near the central station and within walking distance to many attractions
Terrace to enjoy outdoor seating and bring your own dinner. Cozy and spacious breakfast place with a nice breakfast spread. - Friendly and helpful staff. - Clean and tidy rooms with showers. - Quirky and unique experience of staying on a boat. - Close proximity to main attractions, saving money on transport
Felt very welcome, no complaints

A boathotel with minimum facilities, but the location on the water is very attractive, as well as the price and a decent breakfast on deck with an excellent view. The hotel is recommended to those who don't mind minor inconveniences but like unusual locations.
Very noisy at night as many guests come late. Very hot in the room (I could't manage the heating). No window in the tiny room.

Good location, 1 km from central train station. Warm room, good price, nice breakfast. It was so warm that all our clothes dried over the night and they were really wet from the rain
Our room was way to small for two people, my bead was nearly under the celling and to not feel like in the coffin I had to move my macerate on the floor and sleep with red hot heater on top of my head and sink pipes on my feet. At first wen you enter you want to get back out its so claustrophobic but I guess after long day of walking around Amsterdam we stop care, we were just to tired.

I got great value for my money at Vita Nova. The cabin was simple but amazing and clean, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, near the center but just far enough to be in a peaceful cocoon. The staff, Malik and Raphaël, were fantastic and made me feel so welcome.
Hotel breakfast could be better with more variety.

The breakfast at Vita Nova was really good and the rooms are great value for money. It costs around the same as the hostels in Amsterdam but allows for more privacy and also a little more space than the average hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful and had good suggestions for what to do in Amsterdam.
The showers were almost overflowing in the morning.

Great value for money, with cheap prices for a convenient location. The breakfast provided was impressive, with a variety of options including meats, cheeses, cereals, and more. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
The rooms were small, which may not be ideal for tall individuals. The bathroom for women had low ceilings, making it uncomfortable for taller guests.

ThisBoathostel is great,Roy the captain is realy nice and hulpful. The location is very central. The admosphere on the boat is so nice, the bteakfast is good and there is plenty of it.thanks
If you want a big room then look elsewhere because the rooms are small with bunk-bed.But if you are okay with that, then you will not find a better hostel.Definitely recommend

Make sure you bring cash to pay for your lodging. Rooms are small, but big enough to sleep in. Wifi is only accessible in the common area and between 830 and 2200. Breakfast starts at 0830, so buy something the night before if you have an early ride to catch.
